Aldi is recalling its Rooster’s Southern Fried Poppin’ Chicken because they may contain small pieces of plastic which could pose a safety risk.
The recall relates to 210g packs of the Southern Fried Poppin’ Chicken with the product codes 45004 & 75744, batch number 10101701 and a best before date of 09/04/2019.
Aldi have asked customers not to eat the product, but to return it to their nearest store for a full refund. A recall notice reads: “As a precautionary measure we have initiated a recall of this product as it may contain small pieces of hard plastic material.
“Please do not consume this product
“Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation”.
No other Aldi products are known to be affected.
