Thorne Community Angling Association is to hold it’s AGM later this month.
The fishing club is inviting anglers to a meeting at the Thorne Democratic Club to discuss topics related to the waters it manages on behalf of Thorne-Moorends Town Council.
The angling association administer the fishing rights on the Delves ponds and the Stainforth and Keadby Canal through Thorne.
The association recently stocked an additional 600lb of F1 carp into the Island Pond at the Delves fishery (Pictured). Other work has included new fishing platforms, CCTV security and further stockings of fish.
The agenda for the AGM will cover the running of the fisheries over the last year and the future plans of the association.
A spokesperson for the association said: “We’ll be telling people what we’ve been doing and what we have spent money on”.
The AGM takes place at the Democratic Club on Southfield Road, Thorne, on Thursday 22 February 2018 at 7.00pm.
