This weekend sees the Barge Inn at Staniland Marina in Thorne host its third waterside music festival.
The canalside event has grown each year and returns this year with a number of bands on the bill over the two days.
Taking place over Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July, Thorne Waterside Music Festival offers two days of live music, food, drink and family fun.
Headlining Friday is dance tribute show Ultra 90s, while Saturday sees the return of Oasis Maybe, a tribute to the famous Mancunian band.
Support acts over the two days include Thorne’s own Gordon’s Alive and others confirmed include Saints Among Us, alternative rock band Walking on Mountains, singer Emma Ramsden, pop and soft rock four-piece Beautifully Dangerous, pop-punk band Kumas (replacing the previously advertised Forever Mod) and rock & pop covers bands Regenerate and Chu Ma Schu.
Family activities include a children’s entertainer, face painting, a magician and birds of prey.
Staniland Marina operator, Simon Taylor, said: “‘We are aiming to surpass last year’s results and put on even more entertainment for the whole family. We took on board feedback from last year’s event and have now introduced more kids entertainment and activities along with a lot more food options.
“We are excited about our two headline acts as they both provide second to none spectacles. By popular demand, we have invited Oasis Maybe to come back for a second year.
“We want the whole of Thorne to know about the festival as there is something for everyone, so if you are wanting to know more about it you can visit our Facebook or website pages. Look out for our huge sky lights over the week before!”
Ticket are available online and from a number of outlets including the marina itself. Ticket prices and full line-up details for the two days can be found on the Barge Inn’s website: www.bargeinnthorne.co.uk
