Police report that a car has been stolen from an address in Hatfield.
Officers from Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police say that a silver Audi A4 was stolen from the Hatfield area in a so called ‘two-in-one’ burglary, where thieves enter a property and steal the householder’s car keys.
The incident is said to have happened on Thursday 29 November. Officers say the registration of the vehicle stolen is NL09 EOF.
The neighbourhood team had also put out an alert via social media and the SYPAlerts messaging system, warning people of a spate of attempted break-ins in the Hatfield area where it is believed the offenders were trying to obtain keys for vehicles. The alert continued: “Officers have been making relevant enquiries in the local area viewing CCTV footage of the incidents.
“On several occasions, offenders have been unable to enter the property due to having anti snap locks fitted. Please be vigilant in the area and report anything suspicious using the 101 number and review your own security”.
Officers say enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Police on 101 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
