Artistic Spectrum have been awarded with a cheque from the TSB bank in Thorne after becoming the branch’s chosen Local Charity Partner.
The money, £160.58, was raised from a Christmas prize draw, with a small amount also coming from in-branch collection tubs.
Charity founder, Emma Wilson, said: “Artistic Spectrum is very grateful to the people of Thorne for donating money to help our project, and we’d like to thank Karen and the staff at TSB Thorne for making us their community project of the year”.
Harvey Thomas, Bank Manager, TSB Thorne, said: “Our Local Charity Partnership programme is all about working in partnership to help support the local causes that are the lifeblood of many communities across Britain. I’m delighted that our branch has chosen Artistic Spectrum as our Local Charity Partner for the year, and I hope we will both find the partnership really rewarding.”
Artistic Spectrum are due to launch their newly extended Artspace workshop and gallery in February, and members of the public are invited to attend Saturday 11 February and Monday 13 February any time between 10am-2pm.
The charity offer art as therapy for people with autism and The Artspace can be found in Finkle Court, Thorne.
