A public meeting takes place tonight (Thurs 6 April) to hear updates regarding work on ongoing issues surrounding crime and anti-social behaviour in Thorne & Moorends.
Doncaster East LPT Inspector Mark Payling attended a public meeting at the centre in March, along with local councillors and members of the DMBC East Area Team, to listen to residents’ concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour in the area. As a result a plan was put in place to tackle the issues raised at the meeting (See page 6, April Thorne Times – issuu.com/thorne_times/docs/aprilweb/6), with patrols in the area increased also.
Superintendent Neil Thomas from Doncaster East LPT is set to join Inspector Payling at the meeting along with members of the DMBC East Area Team.
The meeting, at the Old People’s Welfare Centre on Church Street in Thorne, starts at 7.15pm and members of the public are welcome to attend and join in with the discussion.
