Tuesday 5 November
A business in Thorne was found last night to have had one of its windows smashed. The damage to the window at the Marine Cafe, on Kirton Lane in Thorne, is believed to have been done sometime between 5pm-9.30pm on the evening of Monday 4 November. The cafe continues to trade as normal.
Sunday 3 November
A car that was reportedly stolen from Bentley on Friday 1 November was found in Stainforth. Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police said the vehicle, a grey BMW, was found on Station Road in Stainforth.
Friday 1 November
Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police reported that a vehicle had been recovered on Fieldside in Thorne under Operation Takeaway. Officers gave ‘no insurance and no licence’ as a reason for the seizure. Operation Takeaway is South Yorkshire Police’s initiative to take uninsured vehicles off the county’s roads.
