The planned opening of the latest new shop to open in Thorne town centre has been delayed.
Bargain Brands, in Thorne Market Place, had hoped to be open in time for the town’s annual Christmas Lights switch on event (30 Nov) but a delay in fitting out the shop has put back the store’s grand opening by a week.
The store is the latest in a number of new businesses to take up residence in the town centre recently in a list that includes J&M Decor and Bronte’s in Thorne Market Place, Adele’s Barbers on Finkle Street and Hackley Crafts & Bearded Wonder Antiques on Field Side.
Martin Holgate, secretary of Thorne Moorends Business Forum, said: “It’s great to see new businesses opening up in the town centre. We hope to see lots of customers out over the festive period supporting them along with the other shops and businesses.”
Bargain Brands is now scheduled to open on Saturday 8 December.
