On Friday 22nd November at the Winning Post, Moorends, 10am – 3pm there will be a pamper day for carers. It’s a free day and refreshments will be served all day, a light buffet will be laid on.
If you are a carer looking after someone who needs care at home or in a day Centre, whether or not the Cared for is disabled, handicapped, blind, suffering from a stroke, Alzeimer’s etc then this day is for you! Or even someone who looks after a loved one at home.
The day is also about promoting Carers and giving them the recognition they deserve. (A day of recharging the batteries).
During the day there will be demonstrations of Yoga for you to join in if you wish and dancing and a sing along with Tony.
Pampering (tasters) will be reflexology, aromatherapy, healing, reiki, Indian head massage, body massage, have your hair done and manicurists.
Come and have your eyebrows done the threading way, have Henna done and have a reading off Gwen or George.
Information stalls will be there for you to browse such as DIAL, carers stall, well-being ladies – have your blood pressure taken.
Both Sainsbury’s and the Natwest in Thorne have kindly donated £200 each to go towards the cost of the day giving us a £400 start, so a huge thank you to them.
