A wooden stable block was burnt down following an arson attack in Thorne.
Firefighters attended the blaze, in a field off Alexandra Street, at around 10am on the morning of Monday 4 September.
A caravan is believed to have been set alight with the fire then spreading to the stable block. South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have confirmed the fire was started deliberately.
Four horses which were in the field where the stables are situated were unhurt.
Investigating officer PC Allison Griffiths said: “Fortunately no-one was injured however this could have been much worse if the horses had been in the stables at the time”.
