Canal Tavern are to face North Yorkshire opposition in the final of the West Riding Sunday Trophy tonight.
Tavern secured their place in the final round after beating AFC Mill Lane 3-0 in the semi-finals in April.
The side from Thorne will face Selby’s Hounds FC, with the final being played at the headquarters of the West Riding Fa in Leeds.
Tavern have come through six rounds of the competition, scoring 34 goals and conceding only five. That record is slightly bettered by Hounds, who have conceded just three goals in the tournament, while scoring 34 themselves.
Canal Tavern are also set to claim their fourth Doncaster Sunday Alliance title in a row; the side are currently top of the Premier Division, four points clear of second place with just one game remaining.
The final of the West Riding Sunday Trophy takes place on Friday 4 May, at the West Riding FA Headquarters on Fleet Lane, Woodlesford, Leeds. Kick-off is 7.30pm.
