Thorne Moorends Town Council is meeting tonight with the budget for the next financial year on the agenda.
Councillors will discuss a range of matters on the fourteen item agenda which includes setting the budget and precept for the 2020/21 financial year. Members are also expected to co-opt a new councillor to fill a vacancy that arose in November last year.
Councillors will consider developments in relation to the installation of floodlights at the Welfare Ground in Moorends and will hear an update from the town clerk regarding other council business.
Members will also be asked to give a response to a consultation by Doncaster Council regarding the borough’s dog control Public Spaces Protection Order.
A matter relating to the council warehouse is listed for discussion in private session.
Tonight’s meeting (Tuesday 21 January), takes place at the Winning Post in Moorends starting at 7.00pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend and have the opportunity to make representations to the council in relation to items on the agenda.
