Thorne Moorends Town Council hold their July meeting tonight (Tues 30 July) with twenty items of business listed on the agenda.
Among the items listed is a presentation by local resident Elizabeth McDonagh, former Chairman of the National Pure Water Association, regarding fluoride in water supplies and a presentation from the Clerk in relation to a grant application that has been submitted to Historic England for High Street Heritage Action Zone funding.
Councillors will be asked to consider allocating money from the general reserves towards the UCI world cycling event coming through Thorne in September, the Delves development and for fire escape repairs at the Winning Post and Assembly Rooms.
Planning application and decision notices are included for review along with a monthly financial report.
The final six agenda items are listed for discussion in private session due to their ‘confidential nature’.
The meeting, on Tuesday 30 July, takes place at the Coulman Pavilion on Coulman Street in Thorne starting at 7.15pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
