An election has been called to fill a vacancy on Hatfield Town Council.
Electors made the call to fill a vacancy for a councillor to represent the Dunscroft ward on Hatfield Town Council following the recent resignation of David Fiennes-Gregory.
In an announcement to the town council’s Facebook page, a spokesperson said that local electors had called for an election, adding: “This means an election will be held to fill the vacancy on Thursday 25 August 2022. Anyone wishing to stand as a councillor must submit their nomination papers to Doncaster Council Electoral Services department by Friday the 29th of July.”
The spokesperson said that guides for prospective candidates and nomination papers can be obtained from Doncaster Council and that further notices will be published in due course.
