Sunday 31 July
Thorne firefighters were called out to a rubbish fire on Waggons Way, Stainforth at 10:05pm. The crew came away at 10:05pm, with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue logging the fire as ‘deliberate’.
Thursday 28 July
Crews from Doncaster and Thorne attended a caravan fire on Hall Lane, South Bramwith, after receiving a call at 7.43pm. Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire. The incident had been dealt with by 8.33pm.
Thursday 21 July
Two fire crews from Thorne station attended a hedge fire on New Mill Field Road, Hatfield. The crews came away at 9:05pm and the fire was judged to be ‘accidental’.
Wednesday 20 July
A fire crew from Thorne station attended a fire involving bushes, trees and grass at 7:20pm on St Georges Close, Thorne. The crew left the scene at 7:50pm and the incident was logged as ‘accidental’ by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
Monday 18 July
Thorne firefighters were called out to a fire involving trees and mattress at 8:25pm on Glyn Avenue, Doncaster. The crew came away at 9:10pm and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue logged the incident as ‘deliberate’.
Firefighters from Thorne station were then called out to a grassland fire at 11:25pm on Princess Avenue, Stainforth. The crew left the scene at 11:45pm and, again, the incident was logged as ‘deliberate’.
Sunday 17 July
Three fire crews from Thorne and Doncaster stations were called out to a premise on Carlton Road, Wheatley at 12:20pm. The fire, judged to be accidental, involved cooking. The crews came away at 1pm.
Thursday 14 July
Two fire crews from Barnsley and Adwick stations attended a fire involving hay bales at 7:25pm on Wood Lane, Fishlake. The crews came away at 9:10pm and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue logged the incident as ‘deliberate’.
Tuesday 12 July
Thorne firefighters attended ‘several’ small fires at 9:20pm at Quarry park, off Broadway, Dunscroft. The crew left the scene at 10:15pm and the fires are believed to have been started deliberately, according to South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Monday 11 July
A fire crew from Doncaster station attended a fire at 7:40pm involving bushes on Barnsley Road, Moorends. The crew came away at 8:15pm and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service logged the incident as ‘deliberate’.
Then at 10.05pm, three fire crews from Thorne and Doncaster station were called to a premise fire at Princess Avenue, Stainforth. According to South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service the fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 12:30am.
