Fire News In Brief – June 2022
Thursday 23 June
Firefighters from Thorne station attended a grassland fire at 9:25pm on Waggons Way, Stainforth. The crew came away at 9:45pm and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service logged the incident as deliberate.
Thursday 16 June
Three fire crews from Thorne and Doncaster stations were called out to a shed and dog kennel on fire at 7:15pm on Norwood Road, Dunscroft. South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say that when crews arrived the fire had already spread slightly to three vehicles. One casualty was taken to hospital. The fire is believed to have started accidentally, according to the fire service. Crews left the scene at 9:15pm.
Friday 17 June
A car was on fire at 12:10am on Epworth Road, Hatfield. Firefighters from Thorne Station attended the incident. They left at 12:35am and the incident was logged as accidental by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Wednesday 15 June
Thorne firefighters were called out to a fire involving rubbish and trees at 7:30pm on East Lane, Stainforth. The crew left the scene at 7:50pm and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service logged the incident as deliberate.
Tuesday 14 June
A push bike was set on fire at 8pm on New Park Estate, Stainforth. South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say this was done deliberately. Firefighters from Thorne station attended the incident. They left at 8:10pm.
Monday 13 June
A vehicle was set on fire at 7:15pm on Sour Lane, Fishlake. Firefighters from Thorne station attended the incident. They left at 8:10pm and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service logged the incident as deliberate.
