Wednesday 19 December
Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police report that a white Volkswagen Golf was stolen from the Hatfield area with keys during a ‘2-in-1’ burglary. The incident is said to have happened on Tuesday 18 December. Officers gave the registration of the vehicle as VE16 LGV. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Friday 14 December
Police reported a significant burglary spike in Barnby Dun. It was said that in one evening alone, six residential burglaries occurred. Doncaster East Inspector Mark Payling said that in four of those, garages on Peacehaven were attacked although he believed there may have been more entered but the crimes not yet reported. Further to those incidents, Insp Payling reported another two where houses were targeted. He added: “Enquiries into the burglaries are continuing and a directed patrol has been arranged for the area.”
Wednesday 12 December
A black Kawasaki motorbike was taken during a burglary on Haigh Crescent, Stainforth, this morning (Weds 12 Dec). Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police say entry was gained through a locked garage door in the early hours. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Tuesday 11 December
Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police report that a silver Mercedes 220 was stolen during a ‘two-in-one’ burglary on High Street, Dunsville, yesterday (Mon 10 Dec). A ‘two-in-one’ burglary is where keys to a vehicle at the property are taken during a break-in. Police say the registration of the car taken is SP68 OOD. Anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to call Police on 101 quoting incident number SYP- 20181210-0133. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Thursday 6 December
A car stolen during a burglary in Hatfield has been recovered in Dunscroft. The silver Ford Focus was taken overnight and reported by police as stolen on Wednesday 5 December. The vehicle was then recovered on Thursday 6 December. Officers from Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police team said: “If you have any information regarding this vehicle and who has been driving it please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Police non emergency number on 101”.
Tuesday 4 December
Police say that a silver Toyota Avensis 5 door saloon was stolen during a ‘two-in-one’ burglary in Hatfield today (Tues 4 Dec). Officers gave the vehicle’s registration as YS06 LHG. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police via the non-emergency number 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Tuesday 4 December
Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police report that on Monday 3 December a house in Dunscroft was burgled with three puppies and other items being taken during the break-in. Officers said the lower panel on the rear door had been “kicked in” to gain entry to the property, sometime between 3.00pm and 3.20pm. Officers said of the puppies: “They are in the weaning stage and should ideally be with their mother for another two weeks. The mother was left very distressed”. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and quote crime reference number 14/176246/18.
Saturday 1 December
Doncaster East Neighbourhood Police report that a Landrover Defender was stolen from Stainforth between the late hours of Wednesday 28 November to approximately 5.30am on Thursday 29 November. The vehicle was described as being green in colour with a black bonnet and roof. Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incidentt SYP-20181129-0115.
Saturday 1 December
Police warned Stainforth residents that there had been three incidents of attempted burglary in the area over the last week. Officers said: “Door handles have been tried on two occasions and a lock tampered with on another. Please ensure you have double checked all doors and windows before going to bed and leaving the house, and do not leave any keys in the locks.”
