Thorne Moorends town council meet in July with seventeen items on the meeting’s agenda.
One of the first items of business is to welcome a newly appointed responsible financial officer, followed by a presentation from Doncaster council’s East locality partnership lead who will address the meeting on the authority’s locality plans.
Town councillors will then hear from a low carbon development officer from Doncaster council who will discuss plans for tree planting.
Other items on the agenda include diversion of parish footpaths three and four and the provision of CCTV at Thorne memorial park, Thorne cemetery and Moorends recreation ground. A request for support for a public consultation on walking and cycling infrastructure will be considered by councillors.
Councillors will also consider a request for a memorial bench at the Delves fishery and, in a separate item, will hear a report on ‘fish cropping’ at the ponds.
Regular items such as finance and planning are also on the agenda. One item is to be discussed with a recommendation to exclude the press and public.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 12 July and will be held at the Winning Post in Moorends, starting at 7.00pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend and have the opportunity to make representations to the council in relation to items on the agenda.
