Weather warnings affecting the Thorne Times area have been issued by the Met Office
The national weather office has issued two yellow warnings for parts of the UK with Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice expected to bring spells of ‘very strong winds’ which could cause ‘significant disruption’.
Met Office data shows gusts of wind up to 49mph could affect the Thorne area over Wednesday (16 Feb) through to Thursday as Storm Dudley hits the region. This notice runs from 3.00pm on Wednesday through to 6.00am on Thursday (17 Feb).

An additional notice says Storm Eunice is set to hit the area on Friday 18 February. The yellow notice of wind for this period runs from midnight on Thursday night through to 9pm on Friday evening with gusts of up to 52mph forecast.
The Met Office says that both storms risk causing problems and the wind from Storm Eunice on Friday could cause ‘significant’ disruption.
The Met Office adds: “Where damaging winds occur, there is a chance that long interruptions to power supplies and other services may occur.
“There is a small chance that roads, bridges and railway lines could close, with long delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights.”
