The annual meeting of Thorne Moorends Town Council is to be held online this month.
The annual general meeting usually takes place every year in May but meetings of full council were put on hold due to the coronavirus situation.
The town council met virtually in August, the first full council meeting that members had attended since March.
At that online meeting (August), members decided to hold the annual meeting virtually in September.
A spokesperson for Thorne Moorends Town Council said: “The meeting is typically a housekeeping meeting for the council at which important polices are reviewed and its appointments to committees and working groups agreed for the ensuing civic year.”
Among the appointments made at the annual meeting is that of a chairperson and mayor for the remainder of the civic year.
Members of the public can attend the virtual meeting which is held using Microsoft teams software Tuesday 8 September at 7.00pm. Details of how to join can be found on the town council website HERE along with the full agenda.
