British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was driven on a railway line near Thorne.
Officers are investigating an incident in which a car was driven twenty metres down a live railway line at Kirton Lane level crossing near Thorne.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later released under investigation.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “At just after 12am on 11 March, a Ford Freedom people carrier approached the crossing before driving 20 metres down the tracks.
“A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of obstructing the railway. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
“Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to come forward and assist their investigation.”
